Specializing in urban contemporary music, Max 94.1 broadcasts from its downtown studios, with its transmitter tower situated in close proximity to Clinton, Louisiana.
The Michael Foster Project is a Baton Rouge based brass band, covering multiple genres of music. From Traditional Jazz to Latin, Pop to Hip-Hop, this group is Baton Rouge's longest running brass band making their start in the late 90's. This group of top notched musicians have performed in just about every setting one can think of - Mardi Gras Balls, Miss USA Pagaents, music festival in China, film festivals at Sundance and countless more!
Ellen is a registered dietitian nutritionist, certified lactation counselor, and public health advocate. She is currently the principal of The Maxine Firm. Ellen McKnight Hill believes that healthy communities are built on a foundation of education, access and opportunity. Promoting healthy lifestyle changes and providing urban communities with economic development opportunities by way of fresh food access is Ellen’s life goal and passion.

Raffles took place throughout the event. Guests won Albertsons gift cards, free laundry detergent and various prizes.
There were plenty of sample stations throughout the store, some featuring local, minority-owned brands and some with national brands!
There were activites for the whole family, sometimes face painting, balloon art, henna tattoos, games and more!
